Module 004: 4.1 Brand Management
Introduction
The brand module is fundamental in Loolu PIM because it not only helps to identify products specifically (without relying solely on the SKU or ID), but also serves to limit supplier access: suppliers are associated with specific brands, and they can only see or edit products that belong to their assigned brand.
Phase 1: Navigation and Brand Interface
- Log in to the platform— go to the left sidebar menu.
- Select the Brands option
- Entorno Multi-merchant— On the main screen you will see the brands organized into cards.
ℹ️ NOTE | Brands are independent for each Merchant; they are not automatically shared between stores unless done through a bulk upload. |
Phase 2: How to Create a New Brand
To manually register a brand in the system, follow these steps:
- Click on the Create Brand button at the top
- Configure the side form— a panel will appear with the following fields:
Field in the Form | Mandatory? | Description / System Rule |
Merchant | Yeah | Selector to assign the brand to one or more specific stores simultaneously. |
Name | Yeah | The brand name (e.g., Acer, Crayola). |
Title | Yeah | Formal identifier for the product catalog. |
Description | No | Free text or descriptive text of the brand (optional). |
Image URL | No | Direct link to the brand image or logo (optional). |
- Click on Save— to finalize the creation.
Phase 3: Brand Search and Filtering
When you need to audit or edit existing brands in a large catalog, use the search tools above:
- Filter Selector — you can choose to search specifically by Brand ID or by Name.
- Search Bar — type the term and the system will automatically filter in real time, showing the cards that match your criteria.
- Quick Copy Tool — each brand card features a quick copy button that allows you to extract the exact brand name or ID with a single click for use in other PIM configurations.
Phase 4: Editing and Synchronization with VTEX
Loolu PIM connects directly to your e-commerce platform. To edit a brand or check its communication status:
- Locate the pencil icon— on the brand card, bottom right corner.
- Edit the information— the editing panel will open where you can modify the name, title, description or URL of the logo.
- Check the Status Chip (Sync)— within the editing or card view you will notice a visual indicator of synchronization with VTEX:
State | Meaning |
Pending | The changes or the new branding have not yet been sent to the e-commerce platform. |
Sincronizado (Synchronized) | The information has already had a successful impact on the VTEX store. |
- Activation / Deactivation— In this menu you have a toggle switch to activate or deactivate the brand.
⚠️ WARNING | If you deactivate a flag, the system will automatically hide it and stop sending or synchronizing it with VTEX. |
